The Reinvestigation of Elijah McClain That's Long Overdue

ELIJAH MCCLAIN'S KILLING AT THE HANDS OF THE POLICE TO BE REINVESTIGATED

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis declared that the state lawyer general will revive the examination that prompted McClain's demise.

Lawyer General Phil Weiser said in an announcement, "Elijah McClain should be alive today. His life mattered and his death was tragic. The pain, frustration, and anger that his family and many Coloradans are feeling from his death is understandable and justified," he proceeded. "Whenever someone dies after an encounter with law enforcement, the community deserves a thorough investigation. Our investigation will be thorough, guided by the facts, and worthy of public trust and confidence in the criminal justice system."

The bodycam film as of late surfaced via web-based networking media that shows McClain, a 23-year-old Black Man, strolling home from the store in Aurora, Colorado, when cops reacted to a call of a dubious man wearing a ski veil was found in the area.



The officials who kept him by setting him in a strangle hold and the paramedics showed up on the scene and gave him a lot of ketamine to calm him.


In the video, you can hear McClain distinguished what his identity was, the place he lived, what he was doing outside, and that he was a couple of steps from his home. It additionally shows the cops wrestling him to the ground, and clasps of him spewing and wheezing for air saying "I Can't Breathe".

McClain passed on three days after the fact in the wake of being pronounced cerebrum-dead. The post-mortem examination report saw his reason for death as uncertain though we see the video and can easily conclude the oh so familiar obvious.
