Nicki Minaj Unveils Soft Spoken 'The Last Time I Saw You' from Upcoming Pink Friday 2 Album

Nicki Minaj's most recent album, Queen, was released more than five years ago

The Rap Queen has continued to be quite active ever since in terms of a solo project. Nicki has recently propelled three distinct tracks, including her solo song "Super Freaky Girl" from last year, to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. She has collaborated with rising Ice Spice on two smash successes this year, "Princess Diana" and "Barbie World," and she also recorded the sleazy solo track "Ruby Red Da Sleeze." Nicki has been hinting about the arrival of her next album, Pink Friday 2 for some time. She has a new single out today.

The new song "Last Time That I Saw You" by Nicki Minaj deviates significantly from her usual style. It's a sensitive, emotive song about lamenting losing contact with someone. Nicki seldom raps on the single, and she never goes too detailed. It's a beautiful pop song with a ton of singing, instead. The production is rich and multi-layered with a faint Jersey club undertone. Although it's not the most thrilling Nicki tune, it does demonstrate her variety.

The musician used X to inform followers that while though the whole song is only now accessible on TikTok, they may pre-save it for when it is scheduled to be released. On TikTok, a minute-long excerpt of the pop-leaning song was previewed, showcasing Minaj's vocal talents. When the song was originally hinted at on Instagram Live earlier this month, fans were ecstatic for its impending release. Glad you appreciate the lyrics, Minaj said X when she teased the song. Ironically, the very final 30 seconds of the song are my favorite section of the entire thing. I'm eager for you guys to hear everything.

Minaj has been giving fans regular updates on her Pink Friday sequel over the whole summer, and it now seems that it is finally prepared for release. November will see the release of the album. She will release her first studio album after Queen in 2018, which included songs like "Chun Li" and "Barbie Dreams." Below is a link to the brand-new song.
